Senior Individual Giving Manager

Job description

Harris Hill is working with a children's literacy charity, helping find an interim Senior Individual Giving Manager for 3-4 months, whilst they recruit permanently.

This is a fantastic opportunity which will help shape a new ambitious drive to develop the individual giving stream of income, which has notoriously been offline. With one of their online campaigns raising £400k, this is an indications of this being a good direction to take. With this in mind, they would like to find someone with substantial Facebook fundraising campaigns experience to drive further campaigns forward.

The client would also be keen to see someone with email experience. Currently sending just one news letter per month, donators would like to see more, particularly around case studies of what they are actively doing. This is secondary though.

Key responsibilities
Oversee existing activity including production of acquisition inserts campaign, donor newsletters and our fundraising event.
Oversee completion of research being carried out on our existing Friends (committed giving) base
Initiate and deliver test and learn activity to gain understanding of the most effective messaging to recruit donors via digital channel using in-house expertise.
Review and revitalise the COG welcome journey
Develop, lead, motivate and manage a highly effective team to achieve stretch goals, managing team performance on an ongoing basis, rewarding success and acting on under-performance.
Work closely with the Head of Digital to develop and deliver a plan to optimise the website and owned social media channels for income generation.
Play an active role as a member of the Communications & Development leadership team and as part of the wider leadership team.
Ensure that all activity is compliant with regulatory and legal requirements and best practice relevant to fundraising and marketing and in line with policies.

Experience:
Track record of success in growing income from individuals through a range of digital channels in particular email and paid social
Experience in personally creating and managing social media paid advertising with in-house support.
Experience of using test and learn methodologies.
Experience in developing and delivering high quality stewardship through email
Experience of leading, managing and inspiring a team to achieve targets.
Experience of using data to inform decision making.

The client would ideally like someone on a hybrid basis, but is flexible on this being remote. The client is also flexible on having this on a temp, freelance or contractual basis, so please do enquire for more info.
