SQL Database Support Analyst

Job description

A charity are looking for a SQL Database Support Analyst to support and improve existing business systems, and to support the Head of Business Systems & ICT with upgrades and development of new systems. You will need an exceptional level of T-SQL and extensive knowledge of databases and their role within an organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide day-to-day database support;
-Become the charity database expert and champion the effective use of the charity's applications and data;
-Create and maintain documentation;
-Support and develop datasets and reports for a wide variety of teams across the organisation;
-Identify, investigate and escalate system issues;
-Develop, support and document ETL processes between databases, websites and other systems;
-Ensure that procedures are operating effectively and identify user and/or system errors;
-Work with the organisation to ensure full data protection compliance;
-Work with the Applications Support Analysist to provide training, workshops and appropriate documentation;
-Undertake data migrations, imports and exports
-Monitor data quality and support data cleansing activities;

Skills and Experience required:
-Experience of delivering bespoke datasets - for fundraising and/or marketing campaigns etc.
-Experience of developing datasets for use within Excel/SSRS/PowerBI
-Experience of data migrations, imports and system upgrades
-Excellent interpersonal, verbal presentation and written communication skills.
-Ability to transfer technical knowledge to others to enhance greater understanding and service delivery.
-Knowledge of SQL Server
-Advanced knowledge of T-SQL
