Supporter Engagement Officer

Job description

A children's charity in London, seek a Supporter Engagement Officer for 3 to 6 months, starting ASAP.

We are ideally looking for someone with events experience, engaging with supporters and volunteers to help grow community fundraising.

Duties:
To work with the Supporter Engagement Manager to develop relationships with new and existing supporters in order to generate engagement and impact. Including but not limited to:
Fundraising Committees and Support Groups
Key church and community supporters
Key volunteers
To account manage key supporters and maintain accurate records on Raiser's Edge. To analyse data from Raiser's Edge and financial reports to enable effective key supporter caseload management. Contact to include telephone and mail
To attend, co-ordinate and support stewardship and recruitment events for supporters.
To work managing own time and resources effectively through planning, prioritisation and time management, achieving tasks within agreed timescales.
To maintain effective systems for the management of data ensuring that supporter engagement is maximised and the data base is up to date and accurate.
To work with colleagues from across Supporter Impact & Income directorate to maximise engagement with key supporter groups.
To ensure all fundraising activity complies with charity law, Fundraising Standards Board
To work as part of a team, constantly striving for improvements and innovation, keeping abreast of relevant developments inside and outside the third sector and share those opportunities with the team.
To lead on assigned projects and undertake ad hoc activities as directed by line manager.
To ensure that opportunities for children and young people to have a voice and influence our work are prioritised.

Experience:
A track record of achieving and growing fundraising income or sales targets. (Essential)
Demonstrable experience in recruiting and supporting volunteers, community fundraising, account management, or a similar environment. (Essential)
Experience of fundraising with two or more of the following schools, churches, students, corporates, groups and associations (Essential)
Experience of communicating directly with customers, supporters or volunteers (essential)
Proven experience of working with CRM database in a marketing, sales or charity context (desirable)
Experience of working collaboratively with a large team and managing conflicting priorities (desirable)
