Supporter Engagement Officer

Job description

I am currently looking for an experienced Supporter Engagement Officer for an amazing children's charity. This post sits in the dynamic Supporter Communities & Groups team within their ambitious Engagement & Income Generation Directorate and you will play an integral role in helping to implement their approach to supporter engagement.

You will lead on events and/or products in the portfolio and champion excellent supporter stewardship:
Deliver agreed project plans that focus on recruitment, conversion and maximising income
Deliver excellent and knowledgeable supporter care building relationships with supporters
When required, process incoming enquiries, applications and registrations for fundraising events, engaging and
Ensure participants activity is recorded as agreed on Raisers Edge and any relevant consoles within agreed timescales to ensure effective and timely stewardship of supporters

Engage and inspire supporters:
Speaking to supporters on the telephone in a timely and engaging manner to support their fundraising activity.
Use other methods including but not limited to social media platforms, email and video messaging
Provide engaging and timely content to help supporters achieve or exceed fundraising goals
Raise awareness of other opportunities for supporters in addition to fundraising including campaign and volunteering opportunities
Work with social media lead generations to convert event enquiries to join the team
Use your experience of supporter or customer care to motivate and inspire supporter loyalty
You may be required to work flexible hours on occasion to support events and activity out of normal working hours

Strategic Communications for the team:
Write and build marketing emails and email journeys that are tailored to individual audiences and will encourage click throughs and conversions
Ensure that all team communications are aligned and connect with campaigning, volunteering and other fundraising activity within the organisation where appropriate

To support the London Marathon project ensuring you:
Deliver stewardship to an assigned caseload as agreed with project manager, ensuring a high standard of interaction and record keeping
Focus on income targets assigned to your caseload and provide monthly updates against progress
Event console administration to ensure participants are fully registered for their event
Provide timely reports and updates as agreed against performance and the project plan and individuals on your caseload.

Relationship management:
You will manage a caseload of supporters participating in the London Marathon, DIY and community fundraising
Ensure supporters are stewarded to a high standard across all activity in a timely manner
You will have an assigned caseload of DIY lead generations and convert enquiries to participants to agreed KPIs using telephone and email as agreed
You will support fundraisers to reach their target to maximise the impact the charity can have for young people

You will need to deliver against ambitious financial targets:
To monitor and report on income and expenditure budgets for your caseload in line with the supporter engagement strategy
Report and share insight for those on track, under target or exceeding targets, adapting to any internal and external circumstances if required.
Work with colleagues in the Supporter Engagement team to identify training and development required to report on financial targets.

Maintain records of interactions with supporters via:
Ensure that supporter interaction is updated on the Relationship Management system (Raiser's Edge) to a high standard.
Manage the weekly gift allocation from online giving platforms including Just Giving and Virgin Money Giving sing with our Data Services team to import data
Support the team sending emails via Engaging Networks (email management system)
Provide information and data to support the teams reporting requirements as requested.
