Harris Hill are delighted to be supporting Consumers International in their search for a Sustainability Programme lead.

The role:

As Sustainability Programme Lead you will create a dynamic, powerful, and trusted connection between Consumers International and UN Environment Programme’s work to help drive sustainable consumption worldwide.

You will drive the success of the UN’s 10 Year Framework Consumer Information Programme for Sustainable Consumption and Production (CI-SCP), through excellent project management and stakeholder engagement.

You will adapt quickly and enjoy building and innovating in an entrepreneurial environment to assist the organisation in implementing new strategy and programmes on sustainable consumption.

You will also build strong relationships with the organisation's global network of Members and stakeholders to drive impact on sustainable consumption.

Consumers International is the only global membership organisation for consumer groups around the world, bringing together over 200 member organisations in more than 100 countries to empower and champion the rights of consumers everywhere.

They work with their members and partners, across national borders to address critical, systemic global issues that impact and involve consumers. Representing and empowering consumers, they are their voice in international policy-making forums and the global marketplace to shape a world where everyone has access to safe and sustainable products and services. Their work shapes the future for consumers in food, finance, energy, mobility, sustainable consumption and more.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working on initiatives, policy or advocacy related to suitability
  • Solid Project and or programmes experience
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex information succinctly both in writing and verbally
  • Sensitivity to differing contexts and cultures and adept at functioning in political situations
  • Experience working with international decision-making bodies

Location: Home Based with travel to London Office ad hoc

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000

Contract: 12 Month FTC
