Trusts & Foundations Executive

Job description

I am delighted to be worked with a wonderful local charity caring for hundreds of people across eastern Hertfordshire each year.

The hospice supports patients and their families who are living with life-limiting illnesses and conditions, including cancer, heart failure or respiratory illness, and neurological conditions such as motor neurone disease. They help people to live pain- and symptom-free so they can make the most of the time they have left.

Demand for their life-changing, compassionate care has never been higher, and they are now supporting more families than ever before. All of their services are free of charge to those who need them, but they are not without cost, meaning the hospice must raise 7 million every year to guarantee the future of our care.

They are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Executive to join the team on a part time basis.

Location: At least 1 day in the hospice in Hertfordshire

Salary: 24,000 - 26,000 pro rata (22.5 hours per week)

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Trusts and Foundations Executive, with excellent written skills and good attention to detail, to play an important role in growing income from Trust Fundraising.

Working closely with the Trusts & Foundations Manager, you will identify and research new prospects, write compelling proposals and manage a range of different relationships.

The successful candidate will have some trusts and foundations fundraising experience or equivalent fundraising or communications experience, be organised and have good fund and prospect research skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate and engage with a wide range of audiences.

Closing date for applications: We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis
