Trusts and Philanthropy Manager

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Trusts and Philanthropy Manager role for a national charity based in East London in order to lead on an organisational wide program of activities that will maximise donor and gift potential from trusts and philanthropy.

Key Responsibilities:
-To maximise the potential of these high value relationships and as a senior member of the team, input into and deliver the Philanthropy Strategy.
-Devise a clear and deliverable strategy for the cultivation and stewardship programme with philanthropists and grant making trusts and charitable foundations.
-Develop relationship with Funders, researching priorities and formulating effective approaches.
-Research key prospects for both project and core funding.
-Account manage successful prospects, liaising with the internal monitoring team and delivery directorates.

Person Specification:
-Experience within a trust or philanthropy fundraising role
-Experience of using fundraising databases.
-Demonstrable experience of generating income through effective partnerships in funding and with delivery organisations.
-To understand channels of philanthropic giving.
-A knowledge of a diverse range of service areas, for example learning, employment, community development, learning and financial capability.
-The charity asks that you have strong interpersonal skills, and can communicate with a large range of people.
-You will need to have great experience of team work; able to demonstrate positive working relationships internally and externally.
-Superb organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
