Volunteer Project Manager - 6-month FTC

I am delighted to be working with an amazing youth charity in search of a Volunteer Project Manager/Selection Community Manager to join a fantastic Program at the organisation. This is an Oxford based (hybrid) 6-month FTC. As Selection Community Manage you will manage the recruitment, onboarding and engagement of a global pool of volunteer selectors and will leverage partnerships and outreach to develop the pipeline.

The program finds promising young people and provides them with opportunities that allow them to work together to serve others over their lifetimes. The program seeks young people ages 15 to 17 and encourages a lifetime of service and learning by providing support that may include need-based scholarships, mentorship, networking, access to career development opportunities.

The role will be responsible for;

Leading on the recruitment, vetting and onboarding of a global, diverse pool of selectors and establish best practice for recruiting selectors

Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract volunteers

Managing the relationship with selectors by ensuring year-round engagement and communication

Managing the selector database and provide data and analysis to the wider team

Supporting the Program Design mentoring program by identifying and vetting potential mentors

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

Have significant experience in academic/scholarship/talent selection, preferably of young people

Project management experience

Experience in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment would be advantageous

Desirable skills and experience:

Proven experience in selection within a global context

Recruitment experience with volunteers
