It is only through the hard work and commitment of the Marketing Communications Directorate that we are able to do what we do for donkeys and mules worldwide.  

• The over-arching goal of our Marketing Communications is to deliver communications demonstrate the relevance and urgency of our cause, and that inspire action in target audiences both individually and at scale.
• Our over-arching fundraising goal is to raise over £50 million a year by 2023.

Over the last 10 years the Marketing Communications Directorate has enjoyed rapid growth in all key performance criteria, particularly fundraised income, commercial income, supporter numbers, visitor numbers, social media followers and in the scale and depth of our media coverage. We have the active support and engagement of our CEO and Board of Trustees, and they have a keen understanding of the importance of investing in our future growth.

We are looking for passionate, creative and ambitious individuals to help shape our Marketing Communications strategies, the future of the department and with it outcomes for donkeys and the people who rely on them for their survival, all over the world.

In this superb role you'll protect and champion The Donkey Sanctuary's brand (visual and tone of voice), delivering brand and content strategies that demonstrate the relevance and urgency of The Donkey Sanctuary's work and inspires action in target audiences. You will manage teams and use a network of contacts to deliver authentic, compelling and accurate written and visual content that dynamically supports the organisation's fundraising, communications and operational objectives. Director of Brand and Communications
£60,000-65,000 • Sidmouth, Devon

Leading on the strategic development of The Donkey Sanctuary brand (visual and tone of voice), you'll ensure it is effectively leveraged to achieve maximum awareness, income and advocacy for the charity. You will do this by overseeing and guiding the implementation of communications, design and content strategies that aim to raise awareness of The Donkey Sanctuary’s campaigns and programme of work. Read more >

Brand and Design Manager

Reporting to the Head of Brand and Content and working within an ambitious, creative and growing team you will oversee the design and production of marketing communications materials and products. Head of Communications
