Communications and Marketing Manager

This is a unique opportunity to join a charity that champions, funds and connects young leaders who are working hard to change the world. You will be part of a lean, entrepreneurial team. As Communications and Marketing Manager, you will lead both the strategy and execution of all communication and marketing activities, developing strategies and creating assets that raise awareness and affinity with the organisations work amongst key stakeholder audiences.

The charity’s communications engage audiences around the world, including donors, media, policy makers and young people alike. This is an exciting time to join the small, collaborative team, with a lot of media attention. During the Platinum Jubilee year and beyond, the charity will capture the economic and social benefit its work brings, and the potential youth entrepreneurship has to make a meaningful difference to the delivery of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

I am looking to speak to a confident individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, who can motivate and encourage. You will have complete autonomy in your work, be driven by data and work closely with the CEO. If you have experience working as part of small team, or in a consultative manner this would be advantageous. International development experience, or private sector, or social enterprise experience will be advantageous.

The role:

  • Build out and deliver the marketing and communications strategy for the Platinum Jubilee year and beyond, with delivery including through pro-bono services;
  • Create content and visual assets for, and manage social media channels, blog, newsletter and website;
  • Create, manage and optimise organic and paid campaigns on social media and Google (ad grant) in line with the strategy;
  • Create a media relations strategy,

Your characteristics will be key to this role’s success.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate, communicate and build relationships effectively;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high level of self-motivation, action-oriented and ability to use own initiative, combined with ability to motivate others to deliver;
  • Excellent verbal, written and behavioural communication skills; and
  • Data-driven in approach to tracking and interpreting performance and use of clear conversion metrics to drive decision-making.

Experience

  • Proven experience in successfully leading on developing and delivering on strategy and content development, brand communications and implementation across a range of formats, markets and channels;
  • Excellent copywriting and design skills
  • Ability to pick up new digital tools and tech easily

Full-time, permanent role

Salary £40,000-£45,000 dependent on experience

Location- London 2 days a week, 3 days flexibly
