Communications Assistant (6 month FTC)

Do you want to be part of an exciting national campaign that is seeking to create the largest ever national endowment to invest in the most ‘left behind’ and deprived neighbourhoods in the country? Are you passionate about the impact that policymaking can have on peoples’ lives and places?

Do you want to work with a cross-sector alliance of nearly 600 organisations and a large network of MPs and Peers from every major political party to deliver real and lasting change for communities? Are you a natural communicator with a flair for creating engaging content?

If so, then this role may be for you!

I am very excited to be recruiting a Communications Assistant on behalf of a Fund, based in London. This is a key role within the team, with ample opportunities for the right person to make the job their own and develop in their career. The successful individual will work closely with the Campaign Manager and wider policy team, to drive forward the alliance’s communications activities.

You:
This position would suit someone with a degree or similar level of experience, and who has a passion for communications and advocacy.

You may come from a background in economics, geography, regeneration, community development, political sciences, social policy, or another field, and have some experience (at least six months) gained in a communications capacity - perhaps in a think-tank, local government, or at a charity tackling poverty or supporting community-led change. However, if you show passion then sector knowledge isn’t necessary.
