Communications Manager

An opportunity to join an international development, health charity, based in London, you will be joining the charity at an exciting time of rapid growth. Income has increased from £3M to £8M in the past 10 years, and the charity have developed new and unique ways of reaching out to fundraisers and journalists.

You will identify PR opportunities around key campaigns and events and help drive brand awareness and engagement.

The charity carries out impactful work in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The charity leads 20 long-term programmes, from grass-roots level to well-developed projects, as well-as a state of the art hospital.

The opportunity:

As a key member of the Communications team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional communications to help build the charity’s profile, generate funding and benefit more people.  You will have demonstrable experience of working with the media and developing PR plans, as well as the insight and knowledge to shape broader communications strategies. You will be well versed in reputation and crisis management.

The ideal candidate:

  • Full understanding of communications, relating to PR, media, social media and case studies.
  • Line management responsibility is desirable.
  • Be a pro-active media person

You will be joining a collaborative, friendly and very supportive team. The communications and fundraising teams work together. Flexible core hours are also in place.

Based in Central London, in a lovely, large office space which are modern and open plan.

Salary £35,000 - 38,000k per annum, subject to experience
