Deputy Director of Support and Advice Services

Job description

A disability charity are looking for a Deputy Director of Advice and Support Services To lead on all issues related to support and advice provision pertaining to deaf young people with a disability across the UK.

You will implement the charity's strategic ambitions in relation to support and advice services across the UK and will be responsible for continuing to improve the organisation's information sharing, support and advice related services.

You will be responsible for providing strong leadership to the teams ensuring the delivery of services provided directly by the organisation and its partners are high quality.

Key Responsibilities:
-To take responsibility for safeguarding
provide leadership and be accountable for the planning and implementation of the strategy in relation to information-sharing, support and advice provision.
-To deliver quality services to beneficiaries and their families across the UK
-In conjunction with stakeholders continue to improve and develop our portfolio of support and advice service models (including digital) based on research, insight and evidence of need and gaps, ensuring reach and accessibility to vulnerable groups.
-To support our work in influencing and shaping national and local services by ensuring data from Support and Advice Services and experiences from families contribute to our Policy and Campaigning activity.
- o work with fundraising team to maximise opportunities for income generation and sustainability in support of both existing and new service models
-To drive a culture of continuous improvement to ensure good quality, safe services, efficient and cost effective delivery, good systems and processes.
-To ensure effective and meaningful information and data management and analysis maximising the use of the database and its reporting functionality.
-To be responsible for the departmental budget including the effective management of finances
-Drive the building and maintaining of partnerships to support the effective delivery of Support and Advice Services

Skills and Experience required:
-Degree level or equivalent education or experience, with knowledge of the education, welfare and/or advice sectors.
-Significant senior management experience of delivering a sizeable national support, information or advice services within the third or public sector.
-Proven strategic and business planning skills, with the ability to manage, guide and support a major function.
-Experience of developing, piloting funding and rolling out relevant service models.
-Experience of operational management at senior level including planning, process mapping, setting and monitoring KPI's, outcome and impact reporting and financial management.
-Extensive recruitment and line management experience of teams
-Experience of developing, managing and reporting against complex budgets.
-Confident in using customer relationship management databases and analysing data, commissioning and presenting complex information.
