Harris Hill is delighted to be assisting NLCS, a phenomenal institution across many aspects of school life, in the search for a new Development Officer.

Situated on 30 acres of land and dubbed "a pioneer in women's education", the school regularly tops academic leaderboards with some phenomenal results; in 2018, 85% of A Level grades were A* to A. The school is currently in contact with 5,500 alumni, a reasonable number of whom have gone on to do fantastic things in many walks of life; from academics to botanists to journalists.
Their future is also looking bright! The school currently has sister boarding schools for boys and girls in South Korea and Dubai. There are also hopes of opening two more schools in Bangkok and Singapore. This truly is a school that will become (if not already) a household name in the independent sector.
From your perspective, as a potential employee of the school, you will have access to a lucrative benefits package. This package includes free school lunches, reduced education fees for your daughters, 41 days of holiday per year, travel loans, a lovely pension plan and Bupa healthcare!! That is a lot of money saved on food/travel/healthcare!
The Development Manager will play a key role in the School's fundraising and development activities. An important focus of the role is to be responsible for updating, maintaining and analysing our database, along with building excellent relationships and stewarding potential donors. The post holder will assist in the successful delivery of the School's fundraising strategies for their capital campaign. The role is part of the Development and Communications department and will work closely with the Alumnae Relations Manager and the Marketing team.
To be considered for the role, you will need to have proven major donor fundraising experience. Furthermore, significant experience of managing a fundraising database (e.g. Raisers Edge) along with proven Microsoft Office skills. Strong interpersonal skills are also vital to building new relationships with donors.
