Harris Hill is delighted to be working with a world renowned environmental charity, seek an International Engagement Manager ASAP for 2- 3 months on a 3-4 day per week basis.

Rates are based on 200pd being PAYE and 250pd being Ltd/Umbrella.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with superb stakeholder engagement experience at an international level. Ideally, you will be from a government or UN based organisation, worked within external affairs or a policy team. However, the client is open to other areas.

Duties:
Identify, develop and implement a structured international engagement plan, including identifying priority countries, that will be used to support our international work including science and horticulture research, and other outreach and visitor programme offers. Develop and deliver individual stakeholder management plans for priority stakeholders and priority countries for the organisation.
Identify new and innovative opportunities that will grow our international reach and reputation. This will include monitoring and analysing policy positions of other organisations including UK and international governments, policy think tanks, NGOs. Recommend organisational participation in profile building events such as international policy conferences
Manage international stakeholder events, meetings and visits supported by the External Affairs Support Officer, on behalf of the Director, Director of Resources and other senior managers. To include the development of key aims & objectives for these events, agendas, briefings and identifying participants. Manage follow up after the events to ensure objectives are delivered
Lead on the delivery of the the organisations International Medal programme include identifying and researching potential candidates, managing the selection process and planning the event. The delivery of the award ceremony will be managed by the Foundation
Develop and manage the internal International Engagement Group and Deputise for the Head of External Affairs and International Engagement where required
Responsible for delivering and maintaining a suite of 'Positioning Pieces' that will be used to identify and set policy agenda and communicate our perspective on specific issues of international importance externally. Work with key teams to deliver these and ensure they are utilised

You'll have:
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
Significant experience of working in international engagement including building and delivering stakeholder
management plan and managing relationships with strategic stakeholders
Significant experience managing large scale, high profile events
Familiarity with the processes of inter-governmental organisations
Previous involvement with non-governmental organisations 

It would be great to also have:

Experience working in a Non-Departmental Public Body or a major charity
Experience of working in a scientific or technical environment
Able to learn new procedures, create processes, and seek to exploit new technologies
