Legacy Manager (part-time)

Job description

I would love to speak to people who live near Horsham, with previous fundraising experience? Are you good at building relationships? This is a great opportunity, for 21 hours a week, focusing deepening relationships, rather than numbers!

The UK-wide charity have been funding medical breakthroughs since they began over 65 years ago, and they are on a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures.

Legacies are central to the success of their fundraising programme and currently the programme includes gifts in wills, in memoriam fundraising and tribute funds, and celebration giving.

They are looking for an outstanding individual to manage this area for the charity. Previous Legacies experience is not vital, it is much more around the person’s ability to build relationships, and support 1 to 1 relationships.

The role:

The successful candidate will plan and deliver the legacy marketing programme, as we seek to increase long-term income in this area, and will oversee efficient administration of legacies received, while line-managing our Legacy Officer. You will be a strong relationship builder, sensitive but not afraid to ask for support, and a determination to drive through plans and activity. You will have proven fundraising experience, ideally in legacies, a good understanding of the legacy marketplace and excellent communication skills.

Based in Horsham.

Hours 21 a week over 3- days (they are flexible).

Salary £34,000 pro-rata.

The charity are eager to meet people ASAP. So if you are keen, please e-mail your CV to Hannah.whittington@harrishill.co.uk for more details.
