Major Donor Manager

Job description

I am working on behalf of a social welfare organisation who are looking for a new Major Donor Manger to join their Fundraising department on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building a revenue income programme from major donors of c. £5 million per year.

Working closely with the Assistant Director of Development, the Major Donor Manager will grow revenue from Individuals working with a pool of warm and cold prospects. You will need to develop close relationships with potential prospects that will result in them becoming long term, committed donors to the charity.

To be successful in this role you will need to have, significant experience of major donor fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing multiple 5-6 figure gifts. Have experience of managing complex client relationships, meeting their needs, and coordinating collaboration with colleagues. In addition, you will have strong presentation skills with the confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders, senior staff and trustees.

This will initially be a home working role, with occasional travel to the office or to meet with donors. This will be via a remote desktop login, giving access to Microsoft Office and other software, with meetings and conversations often conducted using Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Salary is £45,000
