Partnerships Manager
Job description
A mental health charity are looking for a Partnerships Manager to be responsible for engaging with internal colleagues and external agencies to build strong partnerships to maximise the charity's chances of successful tenders, service remodelling and proactive developments.
You will work closely with our Bid Managers to hand over all market intelligence and service information at the point of tender and retender and take the lead on sub-contracting negotiations. You will also develop and deliver an annual programme of partnership activity, identify gaps in the market, carrying out competitor analysis and play your part in new business pitches.
You should have a track record in the development and implementation of new services and leading change and knowledge of key legislation affecting health and social care sectors, in particular mental health, substance misuse and housing, is key. This is a flexible role and can be based in London or from home.
Key Responsibilities:
-To carry out effective delivery of the group business development strategy day to day through internal and external partnership development
-Develop and deliver an annual programme of partnership activity with regional and locality managers including retendering activity, new business opportunities and proactive developments.
-Proactively build relationships with external agencies including health and social care commissioners, third sector partners and private sector organisations
-Lead on sub-contracting negotiations.
-Work closely with operational and support teams to build up a clear picture of contract performance across all services in specified region and ensure that all retenders are prepared for in the last 12 months of contract prior to retendering.
-Create and maintain locality development dossiers for specific region, including local need, demographics and commissioning intentions
-Identify gaps in market and innovative solutions with Head of Partnerships.
-Carry out regular competitor analysis across specific region and nationally and record intelligence in group CRM system.
-Work closely with contract team to hand over market intelligence, and local knowledge at the point of (re)tender.
-Carry out pitches and other presentations required to retain and/or win new business.
With other partnership managers, develop and implement co-production into all aspect of the business development team through the TRIP.
-Keep up to date with the external agenda of policy, funding and other changes that impact on our work.
-Contribute to processes for continuous improvement in business development practice, including feedback and learning
Skills and Experience required:
-Demonstrable experience of working in a business development role for at least two years
-Experience of working in partnership with other agencies.
-Experience in the development and implementation of new services.
-Demonstrable experience of leading change
-Demonstrable experience of project management
-Experience of working in health and social care sectors
-Excellent negotiation skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to present to different audiences in confident and engaging style
