Senior Head of Partnerships- Central England

Job description

I am working with a national youth charity who has a new requirement for a Head of Senior Partnership to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a key role for the organisation; you will lead a team of fundraisers across Central England. Reporting to the UK Director of Partnerships, you will be a member of the regional leadership team, working closely with the Director for Central England. You will have a key role in building the brand and public profile of the charity in the region, whilst ensuring the values are at the forefront of the work and achieving its ambitious fundraising strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

To lead a coordinated fundraising campaign to drive investment into Central England using both direct reports in the government sector team and the wider fundraising team across philanthropy; events and corporates.

Represent Central England on supporting the UK Government Partnerships Team and the Senior Fundraising Leadership Team

To lead on the local fundraising and cultivation strategies in Central England, maximising income from local, regional and cross-regional initiatives and other intermediaries.

Proactively monitor the regional government sector income pipeline, identifying funding gaps, monitoring match funding requirements and reporting significant risks to the Director of Partnerships.

To lead the organisations regional bidding process to the government sector and ensure consistent and best practice processes for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and contracting with all public sector funders.

Ensure all funding is in accordance with the operational delivery plan of The Trust and its programmes.



Essential Criteria to be considered:

You will be commercially astute with considerable financial skills and the ability to network with senior personnel in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Have an advanced understanding of government funding.

Demonstrate generating of significant income through partnerships in funding (public and private)

Track record of ability to lead, organise and motivate a diverse team to deliver complex projects and partnerships on time and budget.

Be a highly effective leader who can inspire teams, set out a clear direction and deliver at an exceptional level

Able to take a strategic overview and work with the senior team to drive strategic goals
Entrepreneurial, responsive and opportunistic
