Direct Marketing Manager

Job description

Harris Hill has a 3 month interim Direct Marketing Manager for an international welfare charity.

The role is an immediate start and totally remote, so can be based anywhere.

Specifically, this role will:
Support the squad lead with the set-up of the squad, alongside the agile coach and scrum master.
Support with identifying backlog tasks and opportunities for the SM&E and journeys squad, and support the squad lead with scheduling.
Work closely with our media agency and creative agency, take responsibility for the media plan. To include its development, interrogation, joining up across the campaign and approval of the paid media plan.
Ensure the media plan responds to both our audience targeting objectives and our overall campaign goals.
Be responsible for the development of KPIs and measures for the campaign. Working closely with the media agency and creative agency, squad leads and other stakeholders to develop a set of KPIs that clearly align to the overall goals and activity objectives.
Be responsible for ensuring systems and processes are in place to track and report on these KPIs. Setting benchmarks and contingency plans against KPIs. Working closely with the integrated project manager to deliver this through stakeholder reporting.
Work as a proactive support to the supporter marketing and journeys squad, taking on tasks within to deliver against the campaign goals.
Take on other tasks and projects in the supporter marketing and engagement team as required.

Experience:
Experience in developing, interrogating and managing approval of media plans spanning digital, broadcast and print with budgets exceeding 1M.
An understanding and experience of using audience targeting and translating that into marketing campaign plans.
Experience of working successfully with a range of stakeholders to plan and deliver activity
Proven ability to work to very tight deadlines in a dynamic environment with often changing priorities.
Experience of successfully managing agency and supplier relationships.
Extensive experience in successfully creating, delivering and evaluating campaigns across a variety of direct marketing channels.
Excellent project management, scheduling and budgeting skills, with the ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines.
Understanding and experience of developing, measuring and reporting on KPIs for direct marketing campaigns.
